Ring-a-ding-ding

Weekend Report

Greetings, faithful readers  (well, reader, at least)...

This weekend is a wedding craft extravaganza.  We have several people coming over to do stuff, including sewing table runners, hem fabric, paint pots, do silk flower arrangements, paint table markers, construct pew markers, bead my veil, prepare the guest/scrapbook pages and stitch the ring pillow.  Oy!

I am touched and humbled by the number of people who have agreed to help and I am grateful to each and every one of you.

Thank you.

Elspeth arms

Huzzah!

Lionsdale Winter Tournament has come and gone and I am left with the happy memories of my friends receiving MUCH deserved awards. Such as:

Cordell DeCaen of the Clan MacBeighn - an Award of Arms for the man who said he'd never go up in court. Of course, we had to wait until his treasured Amanda was on the throne to do it... You are, in my estimation, a consummate gentleman, a chivalric fighter and gentle. Love you baby!

Symon - a Goutte de Sang that I knew about for a month and a half, but managed to keep quiet about! Your many MANY years of service have not gone un-noticed.

Aine - Seeing you get your Award of Arms showed me the power of writing recommendation letters. You truly are a Lady. I'm so glad you're my "sister".

Johanna - L'Ordre de L'Etoile D'Argent. You inspire me with your voracious hunger for all things A&S. You find something you are passionate about and look out!

Mama Sofia - L'Ordre de L'Etoile D'Argent. This award was grossly overdue. You are so talented with paint and brush!

Algennon - My "little brother", the Velvet Teddy Bear. The look of utter surprise on your face when you were called up to receive your Award of Arms is permanently etched in my memory. Well done and well deserved.

There were others, but these are the ones that had the biggest impact on me that day. What a blessing to see so many friends be recognized for the wonderful things they do.
